Lander

UX/UI design of an AI-powered recruiter module for Joblanders, transforming a job marketplace into a personal headhunting experience for Gen Z.

Context & Problem

Can an app find you a job instead of just showing them?

Joblanders wanted to evolve from a job feed into a Digital Headhunter, an AI that acts, not just displays. My brief: take their first internal proposal and redesign it.

The team’s initial mockup for the Lander module had 7 chips and nearly 30 options before the user had interacted with anything. The product vision called for delegation and conversation, but the interface was structured like a navigation menu. The opposite of what it needed to be.

«The main experience should not be browsing, but delegating and having a conversation.»

Design approach

The solution wasn’t redesigning the chips, it was rethinking what role they play.

A first draft, not a finished product. The brief asked to improve it.

From a navigation menu to a progress system that unlocks as the user advances.

Only actions requiring a dedicated space live as chips. Everything else moves to chat. Lander proposes it proactively when relevant.

Chips unlock based on user progress. The user always sees the full path, but can only act where they actually are.

Lander’s structure never changes between screens. Only the first message adapts, relevance without complexity.

Merging CV and Profile removes a key confusion point. To Gen Z, their CV is their profile.

Each sub-item’s progress bar changes colour based on completion, giving the user instant visual feedback without needing to read the percentage.

0% – 30%
Not started – urgent action needed
30% – 70%
In progress – keep going
70% – 100%
Almost done – nearly complete
No %
Informational – no completion state
Final solution

A recruiter that lives in your pocket, always there, always relevant, never in the way.

Lander sits as a persistent bar at the bottom of every screen, with a contextual hint that changes based on where you are.

The experience is conversational first. Chips are shortcuts, not menus. Lander always speaks first, with something useful to say.
